The incoming committee has yet to determine its policy on Being Useful. The outgoing committee had determined that Being Useful was not something any self-respecting committee should tolerate and, therefore, said little about this feature except to grunt collectively if and when it was mentioned. One felt it was rather like discussing the bad smell in the loo following a productive visit by someone who had recently eaten a lot of cabbage.

So, just in case the feature gets zapped by the new committee, enjoy it and make use of it while you can...
