A charming semi-rural model railway which comprises a medium size N gauge layout that can be extended with a wing to give greater variety of running stock.
Set in the mid 70’s to early 80’s, Blue is the Colour portrays a secondary main line incorporating a branch line junction station and river crossing. The feel of the landscape is compatible with the Welsh Marches or the Scottish Lowlands complete with a local brewery on the banks of the river. The stock reflects both the era and locations in question. Normal rail traffic is interspersed with the occasional main line diversion, diesel class farewell tour and steam charter.
• Size of layout – basic 242cm x 80cm – with wing 242cm x 200cm.
• Operators – two.
• Value for insurance purposes £5,000.
