Seagone
(O/16.5)
If you would like to make enquiries about this SRC layout visiting your exhibition, please provide the dates and venue in an email from here.
Scenery
This is a sketch of the scenery design for the Seagone layout. Drawn by the talented John Wardle, the design is being used by various members of the SRC to construct individual buildings for the layout. A feature of this scheme is that members who do not normally work on the narrow gauge layout are undertaking to develop a "plot" on the baseboard.

The SRC's narrow gauge layout is slowly taking shape. Built in 0/16.5 (a scale of 7mm to the foot, with a track gauge of 16.5mm), its track and electrical work are approaching completion, following initial testing, and it seems likely that this will be done by the end of April 2009. Track painting and ballasting can them commence and be followed by other scenic work.

Work, therefore, is very much in progress, and the photographs below show the state of play at the beginning of June 2008.
