Stackton Tressell is a layout built to reflect modern operating track layout and practice, but that does not stop it from being used to run trains from an earlier era!

The layout is being extended to improve the scenics, to allow us to run more varied services and to allow full length express and freight services.

A replacement station building and platforms, additional scenics with buildings and roadways and a new signal box will all make an appearance.
 
The details of the scenics have yet to be finalised but will reflect the existing urban environment at the station end merging into a more rural aspect around the abbey.

The majority of the existing scratch built landmark buildings are to be retained including the abbey, warehouse and tower block.

The trackwork and signalling on the scenic section are largely unchanged but minor alterations to reflect the new running lines and bay platform usage will be required. The fiddle yard will also need some alterations to allow for the extra length trains.

The revamped layout is scheduled to make its debut at Stafford 2013. Keep an eye on our website for updates.
