Swiss Pass 3.5mm HO
Following on from the Furness Club’s previous Ho Layout “Oberfriedhof”
SwissPass has its baseboards built at 45 degrees, and it uses the same fiddle yard as used by our 00 layouts “Coppell” and our old favourite “Boldon Junction”.
Fictionally Set in the Swiss Alps in the Canton of URI we have moved further down the valley from Oberfriedhof the towards the town of Linthal.
SBB have seen fit to build a new base tunnel with the “Old Line” now reduced to a single track as far as the branch junction where all trains now have to reverse.
The Rhb is is represented by the high level Metre gauge line.
The fiddle yard holds approximately 70 Standard gauge and 30 Metre gauge trains.
Trains from all over Switzerland and surrounding countries can be seen on the layout.
The layout was featured in Continental Modeller October and November 2022.
