Blandings Parva 7mm/O
Blandings Parva is a fictional station set in Shropshire, and debuts at this Show. A backwater of the GWR, it still has a healthy passenger service and intermittent pig traffic for the Earl of Blandings! All the buildings are scratch built from card with embossed plastic brick sheet. The signal cabin and platelayers’ hut are card faced with wooden sleeper strip. The major structures have fully detailed interiors illuminated by the Woodland Scenics lighting system. Trees are formed from bicycle brake cable, DASS modelling clay and Woodland Scenics lichen and foliage. PECO signalling completes the scenic side. The rolling stock is R-T-R with some kit-built waggons. There is a limited amount of up line shunting, but the focus is mainly on end-to-end operations. So, watch the trains pass by, but note the damaged riverbank and the rabbits being stalked by two hungry foxes!
