Bluish Moor 3mm/TT
Bluish was origianlly conceived as a test bed for a larger Woodhead based layout but seemed to take a life on its own. This was due in no small part to the increased avaiabilty of rolling stock items in 1:100 or 3mm scale. The original shed layout was getting rather crowded.
Meanwhile, another item that had hardly seen the light of day was a wagon works so the idea came to link the two to give increased capacity. A new transition board was constructed and ‘Bluish Moor’ was born.
Based on Reddish, near Stockport, Bluish is home to a fleet of scratch built class 76 locomotives running on a variety of different chassis, as well as several scratch built diesels. This roster is supplemented by visiting locos, mainly 3D prints from the Lincoln Locos stable.
The wagon works is an adaption of a paper kit, produced in 00 in an early copy of Model Rail magazine. It’s based on the Midland Railway works at Peterborough.
