Stafford Railway Circle Clubroom Open Day Sunday 8th July-Report
The open day was held yesterday despite the continuing heatwave which was alleviated to some extent by having 2 large electric fans circulating the air inside the clubroom-and with the large roller-shutter door kept open to allow hot air to escape.
Between 80 and 90 visitors “braved” the elements to attend and see the various layouts and demonstrations. The heat did affect some of the layouts with a few electrical gremlins and track buckles (so no difference to the real railway!). We hope to hold similar events in the future and will announce details in advance on our website.
The detailed plans are now in place for this event which will take place on Sunday 8th July between 11am and 4pm. There will be several layouts and demonstrations as listed below:-
Freshwater-Stafford Railway Circle EM Gauge
Blue is the Colour-Norman Jones N Gauge
Stackton Tressell-Stafford Railway Circle OO Gauge
