SRC on the Road – Nottingham 18/19 September

The weekend of 18/19 September saw the Nottingham East Midlands autumn show. The show, that used to be held at the Harvey Haddon sports centre in Nottingham, is now held at the Highbank Community Centre in Clifton, Nottingham. The story behind the move is that the club were hit very hard by the “Beast from the East” back in 2018. Numbers at the show were drastically reduced severly threatening the future of the show. Full marks to organiser Grahm Clark and his team for starting again almost from scratch and persevering to continue with the show, albeit on a smaller scale. Here are a few words from Graham:

The new show was a distinct break from the old Nottingham East Midlands show, so we called it Nottingham MRS Spring/Autumn show. It wasn’t meant to be an equivalent to the old show (though that didn’t stop a group from Ireland contacting me last year to ask how close it was to the airport as they were planning a visit – I had to tell them it wasn’t the same show!).
