Blenheim Road, 4mm/OO
Set in the Midlands between 1960 and 1970, Blenheim Road is an 8 ft by 2 ft OO gauge depot layout capturing the atmosphere of the diesel-hydraulic era. While these locomotives take centre stage, the setting allows for an eclectic mix of motive power to make an appearance, ensuring variety for the viewer.
The depot features two single-road engine sheds, each with scenic portals at either end. A small permanent way siding adds operational interest, with engineering wagons arriving, being shunted, and departing in fresh formations. This constant movement gives the layout a dynamic, working-railway feel throughout the exhibition.
