January Summary
Here we are in February already so time for a review of what happened in January.
A quiet month. We did have our first themed operating night on the club’s Meyrick Rd layout. The theme was Western and Midland as that’s where the layout is set.

Photo 1 – DB class 67 No.67005 tows class 92 No.92042 through Stafford while working 0A06, 13.32 Crewe T.M.D. (E) to Wembley H.S light engine move. 17/1/2025.
Photo 2 – With only three coaches in tow West Coast class 57 No. 57601 and class 47 No.47832 pass Stafford with 5M43, 10.19 Southall to Carnforth. 17/1/2025.
Photo 3 – LNWR class 730 No.730236 passes Stafford with 2Q94, 14.01 Crewe to Wembley Inter City Depot mileage accumulation/test run. 17/1/2025.
Photo 4 – Colas class 37 No.37116 reverses in Stafford working 0Z37 Derby RTC to Stafford via Stoke on Trent route learning run. This was the second of three runs between Stoke and Stafford it undertook before returning to Derby RTC via Lichfield. 20/01/25.
Photo 5 – With a handful of units still to be accepted into service, Anglia class 720 units No.720143 and 720141 reverse at Stafford while working 5Q27, 08.2 Willesden T.M.D to Rugby Udt Signal Rn4184 Mileage accumulation/test run for the new units. 23/1/2025.
Photo 6 – A week later and another new unit on test, Anglia class 720 No.720516 has just departed Stafford and rounds Queensville curve, working 5Q28 13.53 Rugby Signal Rn4179 to Wembley Inter City Depot via Stafford mileage accumulation/test run. 31/1/2025.
