Albert Rd
Albert Road description.
Based on the western region of British Rail in the early 1970s the layout depicts a locomotive depot very loosely based on the service area of Old Oak Common. The construction of the layout started in 2009 and was first shown at the Alsager Association show at Crewe in2010.
The layout has three levels. The top is a street scene with houses and shops to hide the fiddle yard. The running lines are in the middle, and an inclined road with a “Faller Road System” links the bottom and middle.
Albert Road is displayed with full sized replicas of a class 52 Western, class 42 Warship, and class 47 Nameplates.
