SRC Midsummer Show

On Saturday 18th June we held the first (of what we hope will be many!) SRC Midsummer Show.

It was something of an experiment born out of the problems we have experienced running the main show over the past couple of years due to pandemic issues.

The concept was a low budget show using as many resources – layouts, manpower, etc – as we could from the club. We managed to get 8 club members’ layouts, plus a shunting puzzle aimed at our younger visitors and a demonstration table.

The overall feedback after the event was very positive. The venue worked well, the catering provided by the venue was a hit, the visitor target was almost met so it was an unqualified success.
